COUNT Function | COUNT Function in Excel | Microsoft Office training
Count Function is Use to add the number of Cell which is in a selected range of cell. Its only count up Numbers, not alphabet and symbols and Count Function ignore those cells which contains symbols, text and an Empty cell. Now we are going to learn this function with its different uses. We will of 4 different methods which are given below.
First Method:-
1) Start Microsoft Excel 2007

3) Now is the turn to use our Function, Type (=Count(B4:D9)) anywhere you want to find the answer. In this Function you will see (B4:D9), which means “select from B4 cell to D9” as given below.
4) After type of function press Enter from keyboard, After Enter you will see “4”, which say that in your selected area we have found only “4” number, which is “52”,”34”,”3” and “53”.
2nd Method:-
Now use the First one function, after “D9” use a comma and add a number with it, Like (=COUNT(B4:D9,23). Now press Enter, as you will press Enter, you will see “5” because we add a number with our function so therefore our value become 5.
